Teaching Yoga and Meditation in Military Communities
Advanced Trainings for Certified Yoga and Meditation Teachers
Warriors At Ease courses prepare certified yoga and meditation teachers to work in military settings with active duty servicemembers, veterans, family members, professional caregivers, and civilian staff.
Why Get Certified?
As the US military adopts evidence-based mind/body approaches and seeks to hire competent instructors, specialized training focused on military culture and combat-related conditions will help those responsible for selecting mind/body contractors and staff to make more informed decisions.
How does it work? What are my options?
We designed the TYMMC (Teaching Yoga and Meditation in Military Communities) training in three modules to allow you to benefit in the way that best fits your unique interests and situation. You may or may not want to be certified so these modules are designed for both choices.
The three modules are:
Part 3- Mentoring – Practice, Integration and Study for Certification (click here for details)
You can choose to take:
Part 1 only – Teleseminar and receive a certificate of completion
Part 1 and 2 – Teleseminar + Practicum and receive a certificate of completion
Part 1, 2 and 3-Teleseminar + Practicum + Mentoring and receive certification as an Warriors At Ease teacher, indicating competency
You will receive a certificate of completion after meeting the specified requirements for the courses. The certificate documents that you received specialized training. It does not indicate any degree of competency.
Full Certification: By completing the specified requirements and receiving an approval from a Warriors at Ease mentor, you can become a Warriors At Ease certified teacher. This means that Warriors at Ease acknowledges that you have demonstrated competency in the TYYMC learning objectives, that you have adequately integrated the skills and knowledge offered by the course, and that we believe you to be prepared to meet the unique challenges of this work.
